Workforce Risk Assessment
What it is
The Workforce Risk Assessment is a short, independent diagnostic designed to help senior leaders identify where preventable workforce risk is accumulating — and decide what to do first.

It is built to surface what’s quietly undermining retention, engagement, and execution, and to force prioritization when everything feels important.
This is not a survey product or a culture program.
It’s a decision-focused assessment.
Why it exists
Most organizations don’t struggle because they aren’t listening.

They struggle because the signals are diffuse, ownership is unclear, and risk becomes normalized over time. Leaders sense something is off, but without focus, the organization keeps moving — until good people leave or performance slips.

The Workforce Risk Assessment exists to interrupt that pattern earlier.
It creates clarity when engagement data, feedback, and instincts all point in different directions — and makes it easier for leadership teams to align on what actually matters now.
What the assessment does
The Workforce Risk Assessment helps leadership teams answer a small number of critical questions:

-
Where are we exposed to preventable, regretted loss?
-
Where is disengagement quietly dragging performance?
-
Where is execution breaking down — not ideas?
-
What should we focus on now, and what should stop?
The outcome is not more information.
It’s clearer judgment and better decisions.
What it includes
Each assessment is tailored to the organization’s context, but typically includes:

-
Review of existing engagement, attrition, and workforce data
-
Targeted listening through interviews and small-group conversations
-
Examination of organizational signals (prior initiatives, priorities, constraints)
-
Synthesis of risks and patterns into a clear, executive-level view
-
A facilitated leadership readout focused on sense-making and tradeoffs
-
A written decision record that locks focus and prevents drift
The emphasis is on signal quality, not volume.
How it works
Most Workforce Risk Assessments are completed within approximately four weeks.

The work is intentionally contained and depends on timely access to key leaders and stakeholders. This only works when the people involved prioritize the conversations — delays dilute signal and reduce the value of the outcome.

The process is designed to be minimally disruptive, but it does require attention. Focus is part of the point.
What it's not
The Workforce Risk Assessment is not:

-
Survey administration or benchmarking
-
An ongoing advisory engagement
-
A culture transformation program
-
A long-term roadmap or initiative list
-
An attempt to fix everything at once
If you’re looking for activity, this isn’t the right tool.
If you’re looking for clarity and focus, it is.
Who it's for
This assessment is designed for organizations where:

-
Leaders sense growing disengagement or attrition risk
-
Engagement data exists but direction is unclear
-
Prior initiatives have stalled or lost credibility
-
Decisions keep getting deferred because priorities are contested
It’s not a fit for organizations unwilling to confront tradeoffs or make decisions.
Investment and engagement model
The Workforce Risk Assessment is a fixed-fee, time-bound engagement.
Scope and investment are determined during intake, based on the level of workforce risk and organizational complexity identified.

The objective is decision-grade clarity — not ongoing advisory work.

Most assessments are completed within 30 days and are designed to deliver decision-grade clarity, not activity.

If the assessment prevents even one regretted loss, it pays for itself many times over.
Start with a conversation
A short conversation is the best way to determine fit.
We’ll talk through what you’re seeing, where risk may be accumulating, and whether a focused Workforce Risk Assessment is the right next step.
If it isn’t, I’ll tell you.
